Camus XO Superieur / Elegance Cognac

VISUAL: Brilliant amber with rich mahogany colour

NOSE: Balance of floral, dried fruits, plum, hazelnut & spice.  Intense *rancio.

PALATE: Elegant structure, plum, hazelnut, liquorice, spice and vanilla sweetness

FINISH: Long, persistent leathery & liquorice

The Camus XO Elegance / Superieur is heavily influenced by the eaux de vie from the Borderies region.  The engraved metal stopper, balanced & intense aromas, rich palate, coupled with the persistent leathery finish makes the Camus XO Elegance a well sought after cognac by many.

The Camus XO Elegance was award the Gold Medal in the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.


*First Rancio stage: 10 to 15 years
Peak of vanilla and oak taste, Flowery, dried rose, nutty, spicy

Second Rancio stage: 17 to 22 years
Jasmine, Chocolate, Dried, candied fruit, curry, saffron, ginger

Third Rancio stage: 30 to 40 years
Old tawny port, cedar, eucalyptus, cigar box, tobacco, old muscat wine, nutmeg

Fourth Rancio stage: 50 to 60 years
Tropical fruits, passion, lyche wood scents: sandal wood

Rancio Aromas do stack as they progress in age.
